Led by Prof. Kai Wu, the Nanomagnetic Biosensors & Devices (NBD) group focuses on the application of magnetic nanomaterials and nanodevices in healthcare, particularly in disease diagnosis and treatment. Our research is inherently interdisciplinary, requiring expertise in diverse fields such as circuitry design, quantum physics, magnetic nanomaterials, chemistry, and immunoassays.

Our current research focus include (1) Point-of-care medical devices ; (2) Magnetic nanoparticles for biomedical applications; (3) Magnetic particle imaging; and (4) AI-assisted healthcare. We are heroes and sheroes wearing lab coats!
